Our Philosophy
At Rafter B IPM, we look at the big picture. Conventional pest control methods simply spray chemicals and repeat as necessary. That is not our approach, nor is it the best long-term solution. Our staff is highly trained and operates under the principles and control strategies of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM is a holistic, scientific approach to pest management to prevent, monitor and control pests. It incorporates pest life cycles and their interaction with the environment. We are passionate about our profession and staying abreast of the latest, innovative pest management techniques is critical to our success.
Our Expertise
Owner Russell Baker holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Entomology from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Education. His diverse pest management experience includes working as a pest control coordinator at the Houston Zoo and an extension agent for the Texas Integrated Pest Management Program. Mr. Baker’s educational background, agricultural research and professional experience forms the foundation of Rafter B IPM’s philosophy and operating principles.
